Piedmont Water Company, a privately owned water and wastewater provider based in Eatonton, is one of the largest of its kind in the Southeast. The company operates a water treatment plant at Lake Oconee, offering monthly public tours.

Company cites investment in infrastructure as reason for high water, sewer rates

Almost online: EPD approves water treatment plant

The brand-new Piedmont Water Company treatment plant could be only weeks away from going online. The $15 million facility is complete, and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division has approved the results of a 30-day quality check of water processed by the plant.
