Spike Dogs’ season ends at state quarterfinals

After making it out of the first two rounds of the GHSA state playoffs, the Morgan County volleyball team experienced a third-round exit earlier last week. The Spike Dogs lost to Oconee County 3-1 in the third installment of this season’s matchup.

Spike Dogs’ electric play puts them back in the Elite 8

After dominating the competition in its first two postseason matches, the Morgan County volleyball team is back in the GHSA Class 3A Elite Eight. The Spike Dogs are the reigning champions of the classification and have proven why – defeating Thomasville and St.

Cox reaches career milestone for Spike Dogs

Morgan County’s volleyball team has been successful over the past few years due to players like senior Allie Cox, who just recently got her 2,000th career assist. Cox’s consistent facilitation of the ball has really opened up Morgan County’s ability to score points.

Spike Dogs roll to fourth-straight region championship

Over the past couple of weeks, Morgan County’s volleyball team has solidified itself as the Area 8-AAA champions.. With dominant wins over Harlem and Academy of Richmond County to end their region schedule, the Spike Dogs claimed their fourth straight region championship.

Spike Dogs find streak of recent success

The Morgan County volleyball team, defending title winners of Class 3A, opened up its 2023 season with a difficult slate of games. In a tournament at the start of the year, the Spike Dogs played four games against all types of opponents.

Crumbley mentally strong for Spike Dogs

The Morgan County volleyball team won its first state championship in program history last season, and current junior Haedyn Crumbley played a crucial role in the Spike Dogs run through the bracket.

VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs to face familiar foe in state final

After defeating Sandy Creek (36-17, 3-0) in four sets in its state semifinal match last weekend, the Morgan County volleyball team (35-6, 10-0) earned a trip to the LakePoint Sports Complex Friday in Emerson for the GHSA Class 3A State Championship game.

VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs continue to roll into the second round

The Morgan County Spike Dogs continued to play impressive volleyball as the team headed into the first round of the GHSA Class AAA state playoffs Tuesday. The Spike Dogs hosted the Calvary Day Cavaliers and used the home court to their advantage.
