Feed the Need

Greene County Food Pantry hosted its “Feed the Need” Food Drive on June 9 in collaboration with BankSouth at its Greensboro location. The local nonprofit organization hosted the event for the second year in a row, but for the first time with the financial business.

‘Simple’ mission for GCFP at new location

Greene County Food Pantry (GCFP) relocated to its new building at 1220 Siloam Rd., Greensboro, last December but celebrated the milestone with a Feb. 5 ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.The local nonprofit has been in operation since 2007.

LOA donates 4,000 pounds of goods to local food pantry

Lake Oconee Academy held its annual canned food drive throughout November, collecting canned goods and non-perishable items for Second Harvest to donate to the Greene County Food Pantry.
