Spike Dogs sign dotted line to continue careers

Morgan County volleyball seniors Quinn Butler and Haedyn Crumbley are headed to play at the collegiate level.Last week, the two Spike Dogs signed the dotted line to play at their respective schools during a ceremony held at the school.

State champion teams shine at BOE meeting

Morgan County High School’s varsity volleyball and fast-pitch softball teams were recognized as Class AA state champions during the Morgan County Board of Education meeting last Monday.The teams made school history on Nov. 2 by winning their respective state championships on the same day.

Spike Dogs crowned Class 2A state champs

Coach Kathleen Goodwin knew her team could win the Class 2A state championship – and she was right as Morgan County volleyball defeated Savannah Arts Academy last Saturday in straight sets to capture the 2024 title.

Spike Dogs eyeing another state title

Morgan County will take on Savannah Arts Academy this weekend, attempting to win its second state championship in three seasons.The Spike Dogs have put together an incredible season, winning 36 of 40 matches they’ve played.

Spike Dogs serve Lady Eagles a loss, advance to Final Four

On Tuesday, Morgan County defeated East Jackson in straight sets (25-17; 25-10; 25-12) to advance to the semifinal round of the Class AA state playoffs and continue its quest for a state title.

Spike Dogs seeing success in final stretch

Morgan County volleyball is firing on all cylinders heading into the final stretch of the regular season. The Spike Dogs are 27-2 following two more victories over Westminster Christian and Jackson on Tuesday.

Spike Dogs enter ‘24 season stress-free

The Morgan County volleyball team entered the 2024 season with a stress-free mindset.In 2022, the Spike Dogs won the Class 3A state championship, and last season, they returned a core group with hopes of winning back-to-back titles.
