Dawgs make statement with rout of FSU

Georgia made a huge statement in its 63-3 rout of Florida State this past Saturday in the Orange Bowl. Both teams were left out of the College Football Playoff, but the No. 6 Bulldogs showed why they should have made it after losing Dec. 2 to No. 4 Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

With another trip to the Orange Bowl coming up for the Bulldogs, I have been reflecting on the trip to Miami in December 1959 which ended up with Georgia defeating Missouri on New Year’s Day.
