Dogs rack up All-Region honors

The Morgan County football team is coming off a successful season, finishing 2025 with a 12-1 record.The Dogs won a regional title and returned to the quarterfinals of the playoffs for a second straight year.

Morgan County football celebrates early signing period

Morgan County football’s Davis Strickland, Christian Monfort, and Brody Jenkins are now officially headed to play at the next level.The three seniors signed their letters of intent in a brief ceremony on Dec. 10, as part of the NCAA’s early signing period.

Christian Monfort played a major role in Morgan County’s decisive 46-14 win over Putnam County on Aug. 22.The senior tailback rushed 16 times for 171 yards and four touchdowns.

Morgan County running back commits to West Georgia

Morgan County senior running back Christian Monfort announced last Monday that he has committed to play at West Georgia.Monfort chose to stay in-state and commit to the Wolves, who became a Division I program last year.

’Dogs pound Putnam behind solid offensive display

Morgan County answered the call again on offense in a 42-28 road win over Putnam County this past week.The ‘Dogs racked up 617 yards of total offense and scored 48 points in their first game against Warren County.

Morgan County T&F competes at state meet

Morgan County High School’s track and field team recently competed at the Class AAA state meet.After a strong showing at the sectionals meet, Morgan County traveled to Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany to face some of the best competition in their classification.

Strickland, Bulldogs bounce back against Hurricanes

Morgan County sophomore quarterback Davis Strickland accounted for three total touchdowns, with two through the air and one on the ground, as the Bulldogs defeated Jasper County 35-0 on Friday. It was a much-needed win after Morgan County (2-1) lost to rival Greene County 24-14 in Week 2.
