Titans stun Echols County with last-second header to reach Elite Eight

Lake Oconee Academy’s boys soccer team hosted Echols County on April 29 in the Sweet 16 round of the 2026 GHSA Class A Division II playoffs, and it took every last second to decide it.

The Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team knew this season would look different.Coming off a state championship run a year ago, head coach Tyler Mayer made a conscious decision to test his squad early and often.

MACON — Lake Oconee Academy soccer made history May 15 at Mercer University’s Five-Star Stadium.The Titans (17-3) secured the Class A Division II boys state championship with a 3-1 victory over Atkinson County (17-5).

MACON - Lake Oconee Academy won the Class A Division II state championship with a thrilling victory over Atkinson County on May 15 at Mercer University's Five-Star Stadium.The Titans defeated the Rebels 3-1 in double overtime to capture their first title in program history.

LOA soccer teams reach Final Four

Lake Oconee Academy’s soccer teams recently secured wins to advance to the semifinal round of the state playoffs.The Lady Titans hosted Portal for a quarterfinal match on Monday, May 5, and got a dominant win.

LOA boys captures region title

The Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team easily defeated Lincoln County by a score of 7-1 on March 28, securing the Class A Division II Region 8 championship.The Titans blazed their way through region play, sporting a perfect 4-0 record at the end.

LOA boys rely on senior leadership

The Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team is hungry after losing in the second round of the playoffs last year.The Titans brought back a strong core from last season and are primed to make a return trip to the Class A Division II postseason next month.
