Dogs, Lady Dogs earn All-Region honors

Following the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, several players on Morgan County’s basketball teams earned All-Region honors.The program’s two coaches — Cody Anderson (boys) and Milfred Franklin (girls) — were also recognized with a postseason award. They were each named Region Coach of the Year.

Dogs struggle in second-round loss to Warriors

Morgan County basketball’s 2024-25 season ended in the second round of the Class 2A tournament.The No. 3 seed Dogs lost to No. 19 KIPP Atlanta Collegiate (KAC) 65-48 on Feb. 22 on their home floor.

Depth helps Hoop Dogs gel

Morgan County had an up-and-down start to the season by playing a tough schedule, but things are looking up. The Dogs entered this week with an overall record of 12-6 after experiencing success over the last month.

Dogs battling adversity in early part of season

‘Dogs open ‘24-‘25 season with mixed results

Morgan County boys’ basketball has encountered mixed results to start its 2024-25 season.Entering this week, the Dogs were 1-2 overall, with a recent loss to rival Putnam County, but coach Cody Anderson knows his team is young and still learning to play together.
