The Morgan County baseball team is headed back to the Class 2A semifinal round after sweeping defending state champion Rockmart on May 6.The Dogs swept the Yellow Jackets with 5-3 and 1-0 victories to advance to the Final Four.

Morgan baseball faces season of transition

As the 2026 season begins, the Morgan County baseball team is ready to build on last year’s success.In 2025, the Dogs finished 32-10, captured a region championship, and reached the semifinals, leaving a “bitter taste” that has fueled their offseason motivation.
