BASKETBALL: Lady Dogs cruise into new year with confidence

The Morgan County girls’ basketball team ended the 2022 part of its schedule on a high note. The Lady Dogs (9-3) competed in the Chuck Miller Classic last week and went 3-0 in the tournament. Morgan County head coach Milfred Franklin is starting to see the pieces come together.

BASKETBALL: Lady Dogs making progress under Franklin

The Morgan County girls’ basketball team is riding a high after going 2-1 last week. The Lady Dogs started off last Tuesday with a 56-55 victory over Oconee County. They battled the Lady Warriors for four quarters and came away with a win.

BASKETBALL: Lady Dogs stomp Social Circle, survive late scare from Greene

Milfred Franklin recently got his first career win as the Morgan County girls’ basketball head coach. The Lady Bulldogs returned to the court after Thanksgiving Break to take on rival Social Circle last Friday. They prevailed 49-23 over the Lady Redskins in front of a packed crowd at home.

BASKETBALL: Lady Bulldogs spending time in the gym this summer

While most have been enjoying time off this summer, the Morgan County girls' basketball team has been in the gym. Most recently, the Lady Bulldogs hosted a round-robin event earlier last week with other area schools like Greene County and John Milledge Academy in attendance.
