Bulldogs’ secondary needs better result against Texas

Defensively, Georgia endured a second-half meltdown last Saturday at home against Mississippi State and hopes to correct its issues this week in a top-10 showdown in Austin against No. 1 Texas.

Etienne helps Georgia tame Tigers

Trevor Etienne helped spark Georgia’s offense on Saturday with a win over rival Auburn.The No. 5 Bulldogs (4-1, 2-1 SEC) have struggled on that side of the ball, but Etienne racked up 124 yards of total offense and scored two touchdowns in a 31-13 victory over the Tigers (2-4, 0-3).

Georgia ready to ‘cut loose’ against Mississippi State

No. 5 Georgia (4-1, 2-1 SEC) will host Mississippi State (1-4, 0-2) on Saturday for a 4:15 p.m. kickoff.The Bulldogs of Starkville have struggled this season in head coach Jeff Lebby’s first season at the helm. However, they got a bye last Saturday to rest and prepare to face the Bulldogs of Athens.

Dawgs’ comeback falls just short

TUSCALOOSA – With less than a minute left in Saturday’s top-10 matchup against Alabama, Georgia’s Carson Beck tossed an interception in the end zone, sealing a 41-34 win for the Crimson Tide.The Bulldogs quarterback wasn’t sharp at times against Alabama, turning the ball over four times in the loss.

Bulldogs putting Bama loss in rearview, prepare for Auburn

After losing to Alabama, Georgia looks to rebound as it faces rival Auburn this week at home.The Bulldogs, now ranked No. 5 nationally, enter the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry with a 3-1 overall record and 1-1 mark in the SEC. The Tigers are 2-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Georgia preps to face ’Bama – and Milroe – again

No. 2 Georgia (3-0, 1-0 SEC) will face No. 4 Alabama (3-0) this Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.Last season, the Crimson Tide and dual-threat quarterback Jalen Milroe spoiled the Bulldogs’ plans at making the College Football Playoff with a 27-24 win in the 2023 SEC Championship game.

Georgia left Kroger Field in Lexington this past Saturday with a win over Kentucky, but it wasn’t easy.The Bulldogs defeated the Wildcats 13-12 in their SEC opener and head into the bye week with a 3-0 record. However, after the close win, they’re now ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press poll.

Beck ties single-game TD pass record in Tennessee Tech win

Carson Beck tied a program record by throwing five touchdown passes in a 48-3 victory at home on Saturday over Tennessee Tech. It was a career game for Beck as he became the eighth Bulldog quarterback to pass for five scores in a game.
