The matchup between Georgia and Vanderbilt at Stegeman Coliseum this past Saturday was a reunion for two former Morgan County boys’ basketball players. Jailyn Ingram and Tyrin Lawrence faced off against each for the first time in their college career.

Jailyn Ingram wears a silver chain around his neck with his initials when he’s not on the basketball court. The former Morgan County standout and two-time state champion wears it because it reminds him of home.

Georgia forward Jailyn Ingram has been granted a waiver by the NCAA for another year of eligibility, according to a report published on Tuesday by Anthony Dasher of UGASports.com. Ingram will be entering his seventh and final season at the collegiate level in 2022-23.
