On the strength of four touchdowns by junior running back Evan Bennett, the Gatewood Gators broke a four-game losing streak Oct. 21, with a 38-28 win over Edmund Burke Academy (EBA) in Waynesboro.

The Gatewood Schools football program is hoping to rebound this year after a rough 2021 season in which the Gators went 5-7 after winning three-straight GISA Class AA state titles.
