Gatewood School in Eatonton held a signing ceremony last Wednesday to recognize the commitment of senior Evan Bennett to attend and play football at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.

Despite a close loss in the state championship game early this month in Macon, the Gatewood Gators enjoyed a successful season on the gridiron.

Gatewood football player Evan Bennett has made his college decision. The rising senior announced via his personal Twitter Monday that he committed to North Carolina.

In November, Gatewood football’s Evan Bennett received some great news via Twitter. It was a direct message from a football coach at the University of North Carolina inviting the junior running back and his family to visit Chapel Hill and attend a game on campus.
