SOFTBALL: ‘Scrappy’ Lady Dogs harbor high playoff hopes

Morgan County has had a rough stretch as of late to end the season. The Lady Dogs are 5-6 since Sept. 20, which includes a pair of losses to region rival Harlem. They played the Lady Bulldogs from Columbia County well but were defeated 3-1 and 8-3. That gave Harlem its 12th consecutive region title.

SOFTBALL: Lanford powers Lady Dogs past Prince Avenue

In a game with a lot of back-and-forth drama, Ryan Henderson’s extra-inning theatrics powered Morgan County 7-6 past Prince Avenue Christian last Thursday. The game between the Bulldogs and the home Wolverines headed to the 10th inning with a 4-4 tie.
