Habitat breaks ground on Baynes Creek Development

Greene County Habitat for Humanity broke ground in Greensboro on Oct. 16 on its Baynes Creek subdivision. The ceremony took place at 1310 Oconee Ave. to mark the beginning of construction for the mixed-income housing development.

Baynes Creek begins development in Greensboro

Work is underway on Baynes Creek Development, a new mixed-income subdivision in Greene County. It is designed to provide affordable housing for essential workers and entry-level buyers in the community.

New development proposes workforce housing

The Greensboro Planning and Zoning Board last Thursday voted to recommend the city council approve what could be the first new housing community priced so teachers, nurses, first responders and workers in stores and restaurants can buy a house in the city where they work.
