Lady War Eagles learning to win close games

The Putnam County girls’ basketball team (8-3) has been on both ends of several close games so far this year.So far this season, the No. 9 Lady War Eagles of Class A Division I are 3-2 in games decided by five points or less.

Miller, Wynn to represent Greene County at next level

Greene County football’s Steve Miller and Kevin Wynn will continue their careers at the Division I level.Last week, Miller and Wynn signed the dotted line during the first day of the NCAA’s Early Signing Period for football. A signing ceremony was held for them at the school on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Young finds college home at Emmanuel

It is official.Morgan County girls’ basketball senior Jaden Young has signed with Emmanuel College to continue her hoops career. She signed with the Lady Lions last week during a ceremony at the school.Young considered several schools before deciding on Emmanuel College, located in Franklin Springs.
