‘Fisch Camp’ set to hit a home run for youngsters

GREENE COUNTY

Former Major League Baseball player and Greene County resident Mike Fischlin is partnering with Greene County Recreation to host a one-day baseball camp called “Fisch Camp.”

Mike is bringing in former Major League Baseball All-Stars from the Atlanta Braves, Andruw Jones, Kevin Millwood, and Bruce Benedict, to assist with the camp. Their presence will give young athletes the unique opportunity to learn from some of the best in the game.

The camp will be held Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greene County Recreation Complex. It offers boys ages 7 to 14 the opportunity to develop their baseball skills under the guidance of former MLB players and experienced coaches.

The cost for the camp is $20 per player. This camp is open to boys from Greene, Putnam, Morgan, and surrounding counties. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged to secure a spot. Each participant will receive lunch, drinks, and a camp t-shirt.

The camp will include drills and instruction, lunch, and age-appropriate practice games. The size limit is 25 participants per age group, with some room to expand if necessary.

“We are very excited to offer this camp to young athletes in our community,” said camp host Fischlin.

“With the support of these incredible MLB players, we aim to create an unforgettable experience that combines skill development with the joy of the game.”

Fisch Camp is dedicated to providing high-quality baseball training to young athletes in a fun and supportive environment. Its experienced coaching staff, alongside Major League Baseball players, is committed to fostering the development of baseball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in all campers.
