At the beginning of the week, all three Lake Country football teams – Morgan County, Greene County and Lake Oconee Academy – began the state-mandated acclimation week. According to the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), acclimation week is a five-day period during the last week of July to prepare players for padded practices in the heat.
