Response to letter on mid-term choices

After reading a recent Letter to the Editor on mid-term choices, it was a great reminder why we have a two-party system. The writer wrote, In the end, they vote according to the platform of their party. I beg to differ. I have voted as a Democrat, a Republican, and an Independent. I listen. I read. I decide. That is the beauty of this country…we have choices. According to Mr. Giesler, whether we like it or not, if the party one associates with goes against the simplest and basic needs and/or direction…well…so be it!

Albeit it is obvious he is fully entrenched in his right wing rhetoric. Actually, I would like to thank him for some new ideas for the next President.

It is September 11 today. Four former Presidents were in NYC to memorialize the men, women and children who gave their all. Mr. Trump was not allowed to give a speech at the New York ceremony, so he decided to stay in the Capitol and give his respects to the fallen and military at a ceremony at the Pentagon. Today there is only one picture posted showing our current president at the ceremony in Washington, DC and he is sitting, not standing, has his head down, slumped over and sleeping. If that’s what you want…..that’s what you got. The Democrats are looking better and better everyday.
