Dear Editor: Most of us desire pretty similar things.A safe home, economic security, and affordable health care, housing and education. Our rural, and now evolving, the community faces challenges in all of these areas.
Two years ago, Senator Warnock won his seat and has been working for us ever since.
After a year-long push led by Senator Warnock, the jobs and competition bill was signed into law. This bipartisan legislation will boost Georgia's manufacturing jobs, spur scientific innovation, and reduce reliance on foreign nations.
Warnock helped the PACT Act be guided into law and will provide health care coverage to the nearly 350,000 Georgia veterans exposed to toxic burn pits during their military service.
Warnock’s proposals to lower prescription drug costs for seniors on Medicare and cap the cost of insulin at $35 per month for Georgians on Medicare passed as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. The bill also includes health care savings for Georgians and finally gives Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices on behalf of Georgia seniors.
Senator Warnock’s bipartisan “Invest to Protect Act” unanimously passed the Senate. Warnock’s bill will provide training, equipment, mental health support, and officer recruitment and retention for local law enforcement, a measure backed by local Georgia sheriffs.
Conversely, Warnock’s opponent, football player Herschel Walker, has demonstrated no grasp of public policy and no knowledge of issues that matter to the people of Georgia._He has not lived in this state for more than 10 years and now returns to represent us? We have not heard any explanation of, or solutions for, our problems coming from Walker that are not puzzling, to put it most kindly. No matter our political differences, we need a competent, knowledgeable, thinking Senate representative who is working for us.
Please. Voters. We have the power in numbers to deliver a win for Raphael Warnock on Nov 8th. VOTE!
