A Morgan County teenager has been charged with statutory rape after admitting to having sex with a 14-year-old girl June 21 at a residence on Mergendollar Road.
According to reports, 18-year-old Kyler Reese and another male picked up two 14-year-old girls who had climbed through a window at a Newborn Road address in the early morning hours of June 21. Reese and the male took them to the Mergendollar Road address.
Sgt. Blake Rowe was contacted and went to the address in an effort to find the young ladies.
Rowe entered the home in the company of one of Reese’s family members and found Reese in the bedroom with one of the 14-year-old girls.
Reese told Rowe that he believed the girl was 16.
The bedroom was secured, so that evidence could be collected.
Reese was then charged with statutory rape, interference with custody, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Juvenile complaints of unruly child were completed for the males and two females involved in the incident.
