Make-A-Wish Georgia recently hosted its second annual Wish Night event at the Sandy Creek Barn at Reynolds Lake Oconee. This year’s event exceeded its fundraising goal, raising an impressive $250,000, which will support granting life-changing wishes for critically ill children in Georgia.
The memorable evening brought together over 120 community members, philanthropists, and partners to raise critical funds to support wish-granting. It featured a cocktail reception, dinner, silent and live auctions, a live performance, and inspirational speakers.
Highlights of the night included special recognition of Make-A-Wish Georgia board member Mary McClain, as well as a musical performance and a moving speech by former wish kids, all of which helped bring the impact of the mission to life for attendees.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support from the Lake Oconee community,” Make-A-Wish Georgia CEO Tim Earley said. “This event is a testament to the incredible people who are passionate about our mission, and who are helping us move closer to our goal of granting wishes to every eligible child.”
Last year, Make-A-Wish Georgia granted 503 life-changing wishes, and the funds raised at Wish Night will go towards granting the wishes of children currently waiting.
