Festival Hall, Greensboro’s premier arts venue and cultural center, will host Joe Gransden’s Swinging Holiday show with special guest vocalist Robin Latimore on Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Gather your friends and loved ones for the Festival Hall holiday show, featuring Joe Gransden and his nine-piece orchestra and fabulous guest vocalist Robin Latimore.
Gransden has performed worldwide and released 16 CDs under his name. Renowned first for the hard bop approach of his trumpet, Gransden’s singing voice has been compared to that of Chet Baker and Frank Sinatra. Gransden is the triple threat: fabulous singer, killer trumpet player, and charmingly hilarious entertainer. With more than 30 years of performing, Gransden has honed his talents and always brings the best musicians along for the ride.
“We are so excited to have Joe and his band at Festival Hall. I just love Joe. I’ve known him for over 20 years, and he is the hardest working musician I know,” said Festival Hall director Nicole Chillemi, “but more importantly, he is super talented, a consummate musician, and so very, very funny!”
Latimore will join Gransden and the band at Festival Hall. She is currently the lead vocalist for her band, Robin Latimore and the Boys. She has recently shared the stage with jazz greats Johnathan Butler, Maysa, Rachelle Ferrell, Michael Franks, Phil Perry, and Jeff Lorber.
