The Georgia Watercolor Society 2024 Member Exhibition opened at Festival Hall on Sept. 16.
South Carolina artist Anne Hightower-Patterson judged the winners and hosted a three-day workshop at Festival Hall, which was a great success. A reception and award ceremony were held on Sept. 28 at Festival Hall, with approximately 30 attendees.
For fun, attendees to the reception brought a watercolor of their own and drew a number out of a hat to win another artist’s painting.
First place went to William Lum with his painting “Solo at the Bar.”
This exhibit will end on October 26 and is open to the public at Festival Hall. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with additional hours on Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
