The Greene County Sheriff’s Office participated in a multi-agency drug investigation recently, which resulted in the execution of several search warrants on May 17 in Athens-Clarke County.
According to a press release from the GCSO, approximately 35 kilograms of cocaine, five pounds of methamphetamine, one kilogram of fentanyl, one kilogram of heroin, and 19 firearms were seized during the execution of the warrants. Two pistols seized were modified with switches that enable automatic fire.
The GCSO says this is an ongoing investigation, and more arrests may be made.
Three suspects were taken into custody and charged with “trafficking illegal drugs” at the time of the search warrants; Luis Reyes-Juarez, 23 of Athens, Luis Angel Campuzano, 22, of Athens, and Edwin Rolando Chavez, 22, of Athens.
