Light rain stopped just long enough Saturday afternoon for Santa Claus to make his annual pre-Christmas parade through Eatonton atop a vintage Eatonton Fire Department truck.
After making his downtown tour in front of an enthusiastic crowd, the jolly old fellow set up shop at City Center Stage, where dozens of children took turns describing their Christmas wish lists while parents snapped photos of memories in the making.
Joining Santa in the parade was a wide variety of floats and walking entries from Putnam County service groups and businesses, with many of them tossing sweet treats to kids lining the sidewalks.
