GREENE COUNTY
With her radiant smile, Mother Nature created a picture-perfect setting for Rhythm and Brews last Saturday at Reynolds Lake Oconee, presented in collaboration with the Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS).
The event brought together music enthusiasts, craft beer aficionados and wine connoisseurs, making it a night to remember.
With rhythmic beats filling the background, VIP ticket holders indulged in culinary offerings from several onsite food trucks, creating a night of unforgettable memories.
The heart of the event, the beer garden, remained a hub of activity, where from 5-7 p.m., more than 25 vendors gathered, offering a delightful and complimentary beer and wine tasting experience.
Each of the attendees had the opportunity to savor a wide range of craft beers and exceptional wines, discovering new favorites while engaging in lively discussions with experts.
Rhythm and Brews was not just about beverages and food but also a celebration of musical talent. Local favorite Eric Dodd entertained the beer garden crowd, and 18-year-old Georgia native Noah Riley Teal played a 45-minute set, impressing the audience with his solid vocals and guitar skills.
Grammy-nominated multi-platinum rock band Tonic impressed the crowd with a musically tight set before headliner Better Than Ezra took the stage.
Rhythm and Brews celebrated community and culture and represented a successful, well-organized and efficiently run collaboration between Reynolds and OPAS. Next up for OPAS is a Broadway concert on Nov. 17, featuring Tony Award-winning conductor Stuart Malina with a 32-piece orchestra and Phantom of the Opera star Lisa Vroman.
