Circle of Love golf tourney planned at Harbor Club

GREENE COUNTY

Golfers, prepare your clubs and get ready for a day of love, hope, and inspiration at the 9th annual Circle of Love Golf Tournament on Sept. 18 at Harbor Club Golf Course.

This tournament raises funds for Circle of Love’s emergency safe shelter and resource center for domestic violence victims and their children, providing support to individuals and families in five counties: Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Morgan, and Putnam.

Funds raised from the tournament will directly impact Circle of Love’s capital campaign goal to expand its facilities to include a family/community room and teen space.

“The 9th annual Circle of Love Golf Tournament is not just about the sport; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors. Every swing, every putt, and every donation will contribute to creating a safe haven for those in need, providing them with the love, support, and hope they deserve,” Circle of Love Executive Director Kimberly Bennett said.

“This year’s proceeds will help fund our facility expansion efforts. We invite individuals, businesses, and organizations to join hands with us in this meaningful endeavor. Your involvement will leave a lasting impact, from sponsoring teams to participating in the contests and contributing to the silent auction.”

Registration will kick-off at 8:30 a.m., with breakfast, coffee, and juice – as well as mimosas – available to entrants. Golfers also may want to arrive early to browse and bid on several silent auction items, purchase raffle tickets, and purchase optional mulligan packages.

Grab some teammates and gear up for a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. that promises friendly competition and memorable moments for a very worthy local cause.

Boxed lunches also will be provided on the course to ensure golfers have the energy to conquer the Harbor Club course and make the most of what promises to be an incredible event.

Among the special contests within the tournament are hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin, longest drive, putting prowess, and winning team, with special prizes designated for each.
