2023 Liberty Truck and Tractor Pull draws crowd

    The second event of the 2023 Liberty Truck and Tractor Pull series got off to a fine start Saturday, with gates opening at 1 p.m. and the regular season pulls with the antique tractors off and running down the track at 3 p.m.

    Once again, the kids’ pedal tractor races followed the antique tractors and included running races for children of all ages. A couple of kids in special minicars also showed their pulling prowess.

    At 7:30 p.m., the second half got underway with gas and diesel trucks, V8 tractors, and modern and hot farm tractors roaring down the tracks with smoke pouring until well after darkness fell.

    The next event in this year’s series will be held June 24 from 3-11 p.m. at 4230 Liberty Church Road in White Plains. Admission is $10; children 6 and under get in free. Coolers are welcomed, but glass containers are prohibited. Concession stands will provide food.
