GREENE COUNTY
A janitor at Anita White Carson Middle School has been arrested following an incident involving a student, according to the Greensboro Police Department.
Officer Jonathan Thomas, the School Resource Officer at the facility, learned in conversations with a teacher and the janitor that an incident had occurred.
The student told the SRO that the janitor, Steve Williams, 39, of Greensboro, had grabbed him and pushed him up against the wall after accusing him of urinating on the floor of the boy’s bathroom.
The student also told the SRO that Williams said he was going to make the student clean up the urine even after the student told him he was not the one to blame.
According to the GPD, the student said he was able to get away from Williams, but the janitor grabbed him and pushed him again.
After viewing surveillance footage, Williams was arrested and transported to the Greene County LEC where he was booked on the charge of simple battery.
