Greene County Schools celebrated Halloween last week with eager and excited students parading in costumes with its annual “Trunk or Treat” event.
Mike Lynch, chairman of the Greene County Board of Education, even got into the spirit by appearing as Batman with two fellow students as Batkids.
The community and area businesses came to celebrate with themed, decorated car and truck trunks and handed out candy to the children. Included were many parents, the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, the Greene County High School Football team and cheerleaders, the Boys and Girls Club and many more.
A Halloween parade of all students concluded the event with teachers, staff, parents and friends cheering them along.
