    The Liberty Truck and Tractor Pull took place on Oct. 1 in front of a good crowd, with many more people and trucks arriving later in the evening in time to watch the big boys come out to race. The event ended just after midnight.

    The next event, the finale for the 2022 season, is the big ‘Diesels in Dark Corners XII’ on Nov. 4-5. This annual event draws vehicles and crowds from across the country, and payoffs are over $40,000. Gates open Friday at 3 p.m. with the pulls at 7 p.m.

    On Saturday, gates open at 10 a.m.
