GCCA graduates receive donated computers

Twelve years ago, Joe Manning, founding partner of the Morris, Manning & Martin (MMM) law firm in Atlanta, listened to his wife Jackie, and Dave Thillen, the founder of the Thillen Education Foundation, is very glad he did.

On the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity in Greene County, (GCHFH) Jackie Manning noticed that fellow board member Thillen was putting computers in all new Habitat homes.

“She knew that Joe’s large law firm upgraded computers from time to time and made the connection for MMM to source used computers to Habitat,” Thillen explained.

Thillen firmly believes education is a way out of generational poverty and over the past dozen years he has delivered more than 200 MMM-donated computers, refurbished and repurposed, to Habitat-built homes.

With the recent donation of MMM laptops this spring for Greene College & Career Academy graduates, Morris, Manning & Martin also provided the top-10 students in the 2022 graduating class with laptops and carrying cases.
