On April 30, Greene County 4-Hers traveled to the outdoor State Archery Competition at Rock Eagle in Putnam County. It was an exciting weekend with eight Greene County 4-Hers participating in this state shooting sports event.
They competed in compound novice and junior compound competitions. At this State Competition, Greene County Archers presented themselves well.
Jack Baxendale took third place as Cloverleaf Novice Individual, and the Greene County team of Jack Baxendale, Jasper Copelan, Maci Terrell and Ledger White took third place as the Cloverleaf Novice Team.
These students will be receiving a team plaque, and each archer will be receiving medals and certificates from the Georgia S.A.F.E Program.
The Greene County 4-H Archery Team this year consisted of Baxendale, Copelan, Terrell, White, Kacee Davis, Catherine Grippando, Taylor Head, Kiley Rickert and Ethan Scott. The program was led by coaches Cody Dalton and Rose Boswell Dalton.
At this competition, our archers were present with competitors at their very first outdoor match for all 4-Hers. Thanks to all the coaches and parents who have been working with our 4-Hers to prepare them for this event.
We are very proud of our team and are looking forward to our upcoming events. If you would like more information on how to get involved with Greene County 4-H please call us at 706-453-2083 or stop by the office, located at 1180 C Weldon Smith Drive, Greensboro.
