The Lake Oconee Shag Club held its latest night of dancing at the Oconee Brewing Company on May 4.
Over 100 people attended this fun event, which is open to everyone of any age, who wants to learn the Carolina Shag, meet people, enjoy great music and have lots of fun.
A free basic lesson is given by instructors Page and Tony Payne from 6-7 p.m. and then participants can dance the night away to music by another founding member, Tom Lynn.
Page and Tony have been dancing most of their lives and Tony was recently inducted into the Charlotte Hall of Fame.
Tom, a retired Major General, and his wife Joy, are also accomplished Carolina Shag dancers.
The next great night of fun will take place on Wednesday, July 6, from 6 p.m. at the Oconee Brewing Company, located at 202 N. West Street in Greensboro.
Beer and wine are available.
