A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to an Indian Creek Trail address in reference to a harassment complaint.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Brownwood Road address April 20 regarding a theft complaint.
A Morgan County deputy was sent to a Hilsman Road address April 19 in reference to a property damage complaint. The complainant said someone drove a vehicle through a fence on his property.
Jhori Rajan Wade, 21, of Conyers was arrested April 20 and charged with obstruction. Wade also had a prior warrant for failure to appear filed against him.
Chandler Fritzgerald Lesane, 29, of McDonough was arrested April 19 and charged with driving while license suspended.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to an Old Mill Road address April 21 in reference to a theft complaint. The complainant said someone stole the catalytic converter from his RV.
Garrison Lee Gandy, 24, of Monroe was arrested April 21 and charged with simple battery, simple assault, two counts of criminal trespass and interference with 911 calls.
Roderick Williams was arrested April 25 when he was stopped at a safety checkpoint. A check initiated after Williams told deputies his license was suspended revealed that Williams had an active warrant for a probation violation.
Morgan County deputies responded to a Parks Mill Road address April 23 in reference to an abandoned vehicle. The check revealed that the vehicle was stolen from Peyton, Colorado, April 1, 2022.
Safety checkpoints were set up at Fairplay Road and Sandy Creek Road (April 24) and Bethany Road at Baldwin Dairy Road (April 22). Eleven verbal warnings were issued as well as one suspended license citation.
Sabrina Katrina Love, 40, of Madison was arrested April 25 and charged with simple battery under the family violence statute.
Joseph Chad Christian, 49, of Buckhead was arrested April 25 and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Jessica Shawn Walton was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
MADISON POLICE
A Madison police officer was sent to a Micha Way address April 21 in reference to a complaint about harassment. The complainant said a man sent his girlfriend a lurid photo and a threatening text message.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Morgan Circle address April 18 after a 9-1-1 hang up call. The complainant said her uncle hit her in the mouth, knocked her to the ground and left. A pre-warrant hearing has been recommended on the incident.
A Madison police officer met with a woman at the police station April 21 regarding an alleged simple assault. The complainant said she got into verbal altercation with a man who threatened to kick her in the head.
A Madison police officer met with a man at the police station April 18 regarding a forgery report. The complainant said he wrote a check on March 18 and canceled it on April 13 when he noticed it had not been cashed yet. On April 18, someone with a name other than the one the check was made out to tried to cash the check at a Chase Bank location in the Stone Mountain area.
Charges are expected to be filed against Grace Taylor-Cox, 58, of Athens who was found unconscious partially inside a car in the Walmart parking lot April 16 apparently as the result of an overdose of an opioid according to the report. Police officers found substances believed to be narcotics that had yet to be identified when the report was written. Officers also found a small amount of marijuana in the car.
Police officers are investigating a what is believed to be a fraudulent check written at the Olde South Liquor Store on Eatonton Road April 11.
