GREENE COUNTY
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, a contractor has been chosen to do the work on the next section of road to be widened in Greene County.
Pittman Construction Company has been awarded a $32.29 million project to widen and reconstruct 3.76 miles of State Route 44 between Carey Station Road and the southern limit of the ongoing Phase 1 project, about one mile south of King Drive.
