Downtown Greensboro is gearing up for one of its most beloved traditions as the Southland Jubilee returns this Saturday for its 26th year, bringing a full day of fun, food, and festivities to the heart of the community.
This annual celebration invites residents and visitors alike to experience a lively mix of Southern culture, entertainment, and small-town hospitality.
Guests can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with arts and crafts vendors showcasing everything from homemade jams and jellies to original artwork, hand-sewn goods, handmade dog accessories, wind chimes, and more. Food lovers will find plenty to enjoy with a wide variety of options, including barbecue, hibachi, sausage dogs, authentic Latin cuisine, Jamaican dishes, ice cream, snow cones, and fresh-squeezed lemonade — with funnel cakes, of course, taking center stage as a festival favorite.
Family-friendly fun is at the heart of Southland Jubilee. The event will feature a dedicated kids' area complete with a petting zoo, train rides, bounce houses, a spider jump, and even opportunities for children to build their own teddy bears.
Car enthusiasts will not want to miss the classic car show lining South Main Street, where more than 100 vintage and classic vehicles are expected. Registration for participants is $25 and begins at 10 a.m.
Live entertainment will keep the energy high throughout the day on the main stage, featuring performances by local dance groups, bands, and the crowd favorite, Mark the Magic Man. Known for his interactive style, Mark will entertain audiences all day long — and guests might even find themselves pulled on stage to be part of one of his signature magic tricks.
“Southland Jubilee is all about bringing people together,” said organizers. “It’s a celebration of our community, our local talent, and the unique charm that makes Downtown Greensboro such a special place.”
With something for all ages, Southland Jubilee continues to be a highlight of the spring season and a can’t-miss event in Greensboro.
