The City of Madison has announced the return of Madison Fest April 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Madison Town Park. This annual event invites residents and visitors alike to experience a vibrant celebration of spring, showcasing the very best of local art, music, and community traditions.
Now in its 29th year, Madison Fest is a free, family-friendly festival that transforms downtown Madison into a lively marketplace and gathering space.
A highlight of Madison Fest is its expansive arts and crafts marketplace, featuring more than 75 talented local and regional artisans. Festival-goers can browse a diverse selection of handcrafted goods, including pottery, woodwork, jewelry, soaps, candles, leather goods, and more. Each item is uniquely created, offering visitors the opportunity to discover one-of-a-kind pieces and gifts while supporting independent makers.
Madison Fest has activities for all ages. Live entertainment will fill the air throughout the festival, with performances scheduled all day on the Second Street Music Stage. Attendees are encouraged to relax, explore, and enjoy a dynamic lineup of musicians while sampling food, getting brews from the beer garden, and soaking in the festive atmosphere. Kids can enjoy interactive exhibits, face painting, and free trolley rides from the Madison Trolley Co.
If you are an artist, don’t miss your chance to sign up for the Madison Artists Guild’s Plein Air Paint-Out, where artists capture the charm and scenery of Madison in real time. Painting begins in the morning, with completed works displayed and available for purchase later in the day, offering visitors a rare chance to witness creativity in action.
The festival area extends along Second Street this year with a new addition. Car enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Rotary Club of Morgan County’s Cruisin’ Historic Madison Car Show, featuring classic and vintage vehicles. This event adds a nostalgic touch to the festival while supporting local scholarship programs.
