I am gratified that someone reads the Letters to the Editor besides me. And that Ace Jones and I can agree that “our country can be destroyed.”
That is progress. After re-reading my letter that caused him to respond, I must apologize for misdirecting his attention and likely others by blaming the Democrats for getting us into this pickle. The last part of my letter was apparently not well done either, since it was not mentioned. It was the important part. Not the blame game.
We are at a critical point in our history. Iran, with their jihad “death to all Americans,” and likely a nuclear missile capacity not far away, is a clear and present danger to our country. With that nuclear capacity, they can easily destroy us. Iran already has the material, and according to reports, enough for 11 nuclear bombs. Islamists have already struck our country without warning. Do you believe they will not do it again? This time in spades with nuclear bombs for revenge.
What led to this is behind us, and blame will not help anyone at this point. Whether you think President Trump was right or wrong, we are in a situation that we must win or face worse problems in our future. Not a pretty picture. So, if you do not support President Trump in his efforts to remove the tyrannical religious regime from power and free the 90% of the population that they frequently kill to control them, you are helping the Iranian government to keep the capacity to destroy us.
Not supporting Trump is helping Iran kill us someday. I pray that hating Trump will not drive you into supporting the Iranians instead of supporting his efforts on our behalf to survive. That is akin to suicide. That is why I asked for unity in the current situation. We can blame the game to our heart’s content after Iran is stopped from being a world threat.
So: Whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, or “middle”, please tell Congress and the media to SUPPORT OUR PRESIDENT in his Iranian efforts before the hating Trump campaign gets US ALL killed. We need some relief from this stomp Trump campaign for a few weeks.
