The Greene County Public Safety Foundation (GCPSF) announced today that Exchange Bank has contributed $10,000 to support local law enforcement and first responder programs through the Georgia LESS Crime Act.
The donation will directly benefit Greene County’s public safety initiatives, helping ensure that the Greene County Sheriff’s Office has the resources and training it needs to protect the community.
“We are deeply grateful to Exchange Bank for their generosity and support,” said Steve Broadbent, chairman of the Greene County Public Safety Foundation. “Contributions like this allow us to strengthen public safety programs, invest in critical equipment, and enhance training opportunities for the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Exchange Bank’s commitment reflects the spirit of partnership that makes our community safer and stronger.”
John C. Childs, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Exchange Bank, emphasized the bank’s dedication to serving the communities where it operates.
“At Exchange Bank, we take pride in giving back to the communities we serve,” said Childs. “Supporting the Greene County Public Safety Foundation through the Georgia LESS Crime Act is one of the many ways we demonstrate our commitment to improving lives locally. We are honored to help ensure that our law enforcement officers have the tools and support they need to keep our communities safe.”
The Georgia LESS Crime Act (Law Enforcement Strategic Support Act) allows individuals and businesses to receive a 100% state tax credit for contributions to qualified public safety foundations, such as GCPSF. These contributions help fund training, equipment, and wellness initiatives for law enforcement officers.
