Georgia-Pacific Madison Plywood has once again shown its dedication to the local community with a $5,000 donation to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
The funds will go toward the department’s K-9 program, helping to cover vital supplies for the hardworking dogs and their handlers.
In addition to the monetary donation, Georgia-Pacific also provided paper towels and other paper products to the Family Protection Center SANE/Anchor Point.
The organization assists victims and families in crisis, aligning with Georgia-Pacific’s ongoing mission to support community well-being.
“At GP, we are dedicated to investing in the well-being and safety of the communities where our employees live and work,” said mill manager Wesley Stone. “The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office K-9 program plays a critical role in law enforcement, and we’re honored to help provide the resources that keep these hardworking dogs and their handlers ready for duty.”
Sheriff Tyler Hooks expressed his appreciation, saying, “We thank Georgia-Pacific for their continued support of our office and the people of Morgan County.”
