On Aug. 18, President Trump hosted Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and seven European leaders at the White House in a step toward resolving the war in Ukraine.
Presenting an image of unified strength, they agreed about a need to both bolster Ukraine’s defenses and develop security guarantees in any eventual peace deal that would deter future Russian aggression.
