According to a press release on Monday afternoon, the Putnam County Board of Commissioners (BOC) has scheduled an executive session to conduct interviews this Friday to fill the position of interim county manager after longstanding County Manager Paul Van Haute recently announced plans to retire.

Habitat hopes to hit right note with Songwriters Night

With guitars, good food, and a mission to build more homes, Putnam County Habitat for Humanity (PCHFH) is gearing up for one of its most anticipated fundraisers ever: a Songwriters Night designed to bring the community together while supporting affordable housing.

The Thillen Education Foundation, in affiliation with Greene College & Career Academy, recognized recipients of the Dave Dollar Awards during its second-semester receptions.The most recent Student Recognition Reception was held on March 17, when student earnings surpassed $37,000.
