An 18-year-old Greene County woman was killed in an automobile crash on July 11 on Pierce Dairy Road in Morgan County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol accident report, Ella Blinco was traveling south on Pierce Dairy Road when her 2016 Nissan Rogue left the roadway for unknown reasons and traveled approximately 200 yards on the west shoulder before colliding with a logging truck parked north.
The GSP said the Nissan must have traveled at high speed because the impact pushed the logging truck back 10 feet. Blinco was pronounced deceased by the coroner at 7:24 p.m.
According to reports filed with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of the logging truck noticed the aftermath of the crash when he went to his logging truck that morning.
Morgan County Deputy Thomas Ptak, who was dispatched to the scene, said the Nissan was nearly unidentifiable.
Ptak then discovered Blinco’s remains in the driver’s compartment.
