The Plaza Alliance for the Performing Arts, PAPA, announced it will hold open auditions Jan. 4 and 6 for its upcoming production of “Play On!,” a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy that celebrates the chaos and charm of live theatre.
Written by Rick Abbott, “Play On!” takes audiences behind the scenes of a struggling community theatre as it attempts to rehearse a play despite missed cues, forgotten lines, and nonstop mishaps. It results in an evening of physical comedy, clever dialogue, and pure theatrical fun.
Auditions are open to performers of all experience levels. PAPA encourages both familiar faces and first-time actors to come out and audition.
If you love comedy, enjoy a challenge, and want to be part of a high-energy production, “Play On!” is the show for you.
Show dates are yet to be announced, but auditions will take place Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. and Jan.
