The Greensboro Police Department (GPD) is investigating a string of burglaries that occurred March 18 in the area near Home Depot and several businesses new to Greene County.
According to Chief Rodricus Monford, officers responded to an alarm activation at the T-Fuel Center located on Meadowcrest Road in the early morning hours.
Officers discovered the front door smashed and approximately $200 in cash taken from a register inside, according to a press release from the GPD.
Officers then conducted a canvas in the area of Town Center Parkway and discovered two more smash-and-grabs occurred at Jersey Mike’s and Chick-fil-A.
An unknown intruder was seen on surveillance making entry into the businesses with a crowbar, the GPD press release said.
Damages to the businesses totaled more than what the intruder was able to steal. Monford said GPD investigators are following strong leads and are looking to make arrests soon.
