MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to the MCSO lobby on June 26 in reference to an assault on a complainant’s daughter. A pre-warrant hearing before the Superior Court is one of the options being considered.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to an Atlanta Highway address on June 26 regarding a fraud complaint. The complaint said fraudulent charges of $444.20 were made on a debit card from JetBlue on May 17 and $9.99 on June 13 to Uberone. Further charges of $131.20 were made to DoorDash and Walgreens in San Francisco on June 24.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a West Dixie Highway address on June 26 to investigate a domestic dispute. Neither party was charged.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to Bethany Road on June 27 to investigate an abandoned vehicle. A 2018 Hyundai was found on the shoulder facing south. No phone number was attached to the vehicle information, and it was towed.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Turner Road address on June 28 regarding a fight in progress. The two people involved in the altercation were separated.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Cochran Road address regarding the theft of $50 worth of gold coins.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Sewell Lane address on June 30 regarding damage to an MCSO patrol unit. The deputy said his dog damaged his patrol unit while chasing a rodent that entered the engine compartment. A Morgan County deputy responded to a Price Mill Road address on June 30 for a request to speak to a deputy, which resulted in the on-call detective being called to the scene. The incident is under investigation.
MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a local physician’s office on June 24 in reference to a stolen check complaint. The complainant said checks written to a technology company were altered and used at a Walmart and an Ingles store in Ellenwood. The report said the checks may have been altered using a process known as “washing.”
A Madison police officer was dispatched to 1502 Eatonton Road on June 13 regarding employee theft. The complainant said the employee had been involved in return fraud theft, resulting in the loss of $1,321 in funds to the store.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Wellington Street address on June 20 regarding a property damage complaint. The complainant said her vehicle's windshield was damaged when a City of Madison tractor mowing near Garnett Street threw a rock at it. The tractor operator was notified, and he, in turn, notified Street Department Supervisor Erin Tewksbury.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Park Street address on June 24 regarding an entering auto complaint. The complainant said someone stole her handgun from her vehicle.
Amir Khalil Sharif Shaheed, 25, of Eatonton, was arrested on June 23 and charged with speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road, fleeing or attempting to elude police officers, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes and obstruction.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Pearl Street address on June 28 regarding two dogs running loose, which frightened an 86-year-old woman on her front porch. The complainant's son said the two dogs approached and started barking at his mother, and she was afraid they might attack her. The officer spoke with the dog owner, who said he would get his them under control.

On June 25, deputies arrested Mark Douglas Clements, 207 Scuffleboro Road, Eatonton, for failure to appear.
On June 25, deputies arrested Jamario Demontarius Hall, 1521 Washington Hwy., Union Point, for not wearing a seatbelt and violating tag light requirements.
On June 24, deputies arrested Johnny Hall, 1061 Maple Street, Siloam, for possession of a controlled substance.
On June 28, deputies arrested Ryan Jared Hoffing, 85 Saratoga Court, Covington, for failure to appear.
On June 27, deputies arrested Nancy Delores Rajner, 1830 Madison Hwy., Greensboro, for DUI.
On June 29, deputies arrested Shamica Virginia Scales, 600 Dot Drive, Atlanta, for failure to appear and theft by receiving stolen property.
On June 24, deputies arrested William Tracy Stephens, 4481 White Plains Road, White Plains, for parole violation, possession of a controlled substance, and suspended registration.
On June 29, deputies arrested Derek Tabisious Terrell, 2272 Lanier Road, White Plains, for criminal damage to property in the second degree.
On June 29, deputies arrested Travis Lamar Underwood, 1301 Peachtree Ave., Woodville, for a probation violation.
On June 26, deputies arrested Tina Louise Yocum, 5281 Hwy 15 South, Greensboro, for DUI.
