DNR authorities and Greene County EMS are working a single-vessel accident on Lake Oconee this afternoon.
A Jet Ski struck a wake and the two people aboard were injured, according to Putnam County Sheriff's Lt. Harry Luke, who said he was responding to the newspaper's call for the Georgia DNR law enforcement division because they were working the wreck.
The crash happened at approximately 4:20 p.m. The operator of the watercraft, age 32, was being treated at the scene by Greene County EMS, and the 29-year-old passenger was being transported to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, Luke said.
